MOVEMENTS 1-15
Movements 1-15 represents a musical terrain of travel and place. Written and recorded for piano and electronics while traveling in Mexico and Southeast Asia, Marisol explores the processes of repetition, division, fragmentation, and unification through the interplay of melodic and rhythmic modulations. Combining her training in piano and composition, Marisol has created a work that is both expansive and reflective.Available on Bandcamp, iTunes + Apple Music, and Spotify.
"Floating somewhere between Robert Haigh and ECM explorations of piano and electronics, Marisol Limon's Movements 1-15 tiptoes through the ambient genre carefully avoiding the cinematic or transcendental moods that often hallmark solo piano music. Instead, she offers a series of song cycles that outline a course that is more psychogeographic than furniture or strumming music, with overtones that stalk an emotive state just beyond our collective grasp."
–James Hoff"Meditative and mesmerizing, Movements 1-15 are musical landscapes that take you beyond the borders of the world that we know."

THE READING
The Reading was Marisol's collaboration with DJ/multi-instrumentalist M. Eugene Lemcio (AKA DJ Eugene Tambourine). A mutual love of melody and rhythm has erased any differences in their backgrounds which often blend the influence of classical piano, new-wave synth rock, '60s European pop, and a glimmer of club music's golden age.
